Synonymous with the local community, The Evans Head Casino Surf Club was established in the early 1920s. Situated right on Main Beach the Club has a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere offering live entertainment and dining at their Sandbar and Restaurant or coffee and cake at their Sandpit Café.

THE BRIEF

Impressed by the work that had been carried out by the Axis IQ team on the Evans Head Bowling Club site, the Evans Head Surf Club connected with us to replace their existing Surf Club website as well.
Unfortunately the Surf Club had been let down by their previous provider and the way the original website had been set up meant that all the images were being called from another source rather than being loaded onto the site (so as soon as any links were updated the images disappeared from the site).

The previous site was also built using Wordpress, which is a great solution for someone who knows a bit about managing websites but can be daunting for a novice. By the time we were given the task of building a new website their existing website had fallen into disrepair and wasn’t servicing their membership at all. 

THE SOLUTION

Starting basically from scratch the solution for the Evans Head Surf Club website was to build a vibrant, easy to navigate site using our state of the art cloud solution platform.

The Surf Club (as is the case with most NSW surf clubs) is made up of the local surf life saving club and the supporters club (bar and restaurant).

We created a simpler navigation menu and incorporated more functionality and made it easier for users to find the information they were seeking out that the previous website had failed to do.

We used imagery supplied by the Club to give the site a local feel and we were able to successfully deliver a website to service the needs of the SLSC as well as the club itself easily integrating an online reservation app. The statistics for the website speak for themselves with an over 1000% increase in visitations since the new website has gone up.
